Dietary supplement

Description

Product based on Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM), L-methionine, L-cystine, Tocotrienols and Tocopherols (Tocomax 20%), Rutin, Vitamins (C, E, B5, B6, Folic acid, Biotin) and Minerals (Zinc, Selenium, Copper, Manganese) indicated for men and women, to promote the trophism of scalp cells and restore the regular cycle of hair formation, fall and regrowth. Used in association with Tetraxin Complex, thanks to the synergism of its components, it stops and prevents hair loss and their thinning, strengthening the anchorage to the hair bulbs.

Thanks to the pool of suitably associated active ingredients, Tetragen is able to:

  • Promote the trophism of the scalp cells in case of nutritional deficiencies, especially qualitative (FFA, vitamins, iron) which often cause important Defluvium
  • It also allows to counteract the alterations of the follicle such as: thickening of the connective sheath, alteration of the microcirculation of the perifollicular area, perifollicular inflammation and miniaturization of the follicle by slowing down the thinning of the hair and arresting their fall.
  • It favors the synthesis of keratin due to the presence of sulfur amino acids, prevents hair depigmentation, protects tissues and cell membranes thanks to vitamins, allows remineralization of the hair structure in order to increase their resistance and shine.
  • Also indicated to promote nail regrowth.

Composition

Methyl Sulfonyl Methane (MSM)
It is the natural form of organic sulfur, present in the body in small concentrations, in body fluids and tissues. MSM is highly bioavailable and is an essential component of nutrition. Sulfur is an important constituent of enzymes and immunoglobulins and is important for the formation and balance of nutrients in connective tissues, hair and nails. The MSM performs multiple functions. It is an effective antiallergic: it covers the receptors of the mucous membranes and thus prevents access to allergens. Increases the elasticity of the skin and connective tissue. It has also been shown to be effective in treating acne, burns and skin damage caused by aging. Even the excess scar tissue, thanks to the action of the MSM, becomes softer and aesthetically pleasing. MSM also enhances the action of most vitamins and other nutrients (vitamin C, A, D, E, B vitamins, coenzyme Q10, amino acids, selenium, calcium, magnesium, etc.), improves absorption capacity of these nutrients and prolongs their effectiveness. MSM also has a high antioxidant activity, which is carried out by inactivating free radicals and is essential for the correct functioning of the entire body's antioxidative system. Provides sulfur for sulfur amino acids (methionine, cysteine) and for the formation of glutathione, another powerful antioxidant in the body. It also promotes the increase in the permeability of cell membranes, facilitating the absorption of nutrients and the elimination of toxins by the cells.

L-Methionine
It is an essential amino acid. Its function in the human body is carried out in various tissues. At the level of the scalp it performs an important structural function. In fact, together with cysteine, it is essential for the formation of keratin, therefore the combination of these two amino acids helps to keep the hair shaft soft and consistent. A diet low in cysteine and methionine experimentally determines a net decrease in the production of hair tissue.

L-Cystine
It is the sulfur amino acid with the highest sulfur content. Its presence is essential to stimulate growth and ensure resistance and strength to the hair. In fact, it has a very stable SS bond in its structure which confers resistance to keratin. It is therefore an essential amino acid for the keratinization process, and is also present in large quantities in the outer layer of the hair cuticle. In fact, laboratory tests have confirmed that a lack of cysteine leads to a reduction in hair growth and its weakening.

Tocomax 20% ™
Tocotrienols and tocopherols are natural compounds found in many foods, especially of vegetable origin, among which the most important source is the fruit of the palm (Elaeis guineensis), from which we obtain an enriched fraction of phyto-tocotrienols. Tocotrienols are able to prevent the oxidation of collagen present in dermis; they are powerful antioxidants, and give high protection against oxidative damage induced by free radicals, in particular deriving from actinic radiation or generated by environmental pollution. In addition, tocotrienols have shown potentialities useful for beauty and hair care as they seem to show a protective effect not only on the hair structure but also a stimulating effect on hair growth. Tocotrienols have the ability to quickly penetrate into the skin, and accumulate in the stratum corneum. Even the systemic administration of tocotrienols, through dietary supplementation, increases their skin concentration intensifying the protective effect against oxidative damage.

Rutina
It is a polyphenol belonging to the bioflavonoid family, present in nature in numerous plants (lemon, grape, eucalyptus, mint) and formed by a flavonol (quercetin) and a disaccharide. Rutin acts as a vasoprotector by strengthening the integrity of the capillary wall and regulating their permeability. This allows you to provide a correct supply of nutrients to the scalp cells. It has a cytoprotective effect as it integrates, like other bioflavonoids, within the phospholipid bilayer of cell membranes, protecting their structure. It has an anti-inflammatory activity that is exerted at the level of mast cells, stabilizing their membrane, and preventing their degranulation and therefore the release of inflammatory mediators, in particular histamine.
However, the main action of rutin is the antioxidant one, counteracting the formation of free radicals. The presence of vitamin C amplifies the capillary-protective, antioxidant and antiviral activity of rutin.

C vitamin
It is a water-soluble vitamin also called Ascorbic Acid which shows a strong antioxidant activity thanks to which it is able to neutralize most of the free radicals responsible for cellular degenerative reactions of the organism, including the aging processes, behaving like a redox system: it oxidizes and is reversibly reduced from ascorbic acid to dehydroascorbic acid. It also enhances and increases the action of other vitamins, in particular vitamin E. It is necessary for the synthesis of collagen through the hydroxylation of two amino acids, proline and lysine, which allow the transformation of protocollagen into collagen, therefore it is responsible for the trophism of skin, muscles and bones. Vitamin C strengthens the function of phagocytes, increases the production of antibodies thus strengthening the immune defenses. Ascorbic acid is also able to promote the absorption of iron and other essential metals (Zinc, Magnesium, Calcium) from the intestine, and is an important cofactor for the transformation of folic acid into folinic acid. In case of vitamin C deficiency, there may also be a chronic telogen effluvium picture due both to the deficiency of the vitamin's own activities and to the reduced intestinal absorption of essential metals.

Vitamin E
It is the antioxidant vitamin for excellence and is involved in the protection of both cellular and intracellular membranes, which occurs thanks to the stabilizing action of methyl groups, contained in its molecule, in respect of the phospholipids that capture the oxygen molecules and reduce its cellular consumption. It is involved in the formation and turnover of collagen fibers, of the fundamental substance of connective tissue, of smooth and striated muscle. It is also involved in cellular respiration in mitochondria, and is therefore necessary for the production of energy in protein synthesis. It has been observed that vitamin E causes a strengthening of the hair thanks to its antioxidant activity which helps to keep the immune system active and to improve the blood circulation also in the scalp, favoring the absorption of nutrients.

Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)
It is a vitamin whose name derives from the Greek pantos which means "everywhere" as it is very common in nature. It is involved in cellular metabolism and has a significant role especially in the constitution of coenzyme A which participates in the energy metabolism of fatty acids. It regulates the normal function of the adrenal glands and helps to strengthen the defenses of the skin and mucous membranes. Its deficiency is observed especially in cases of severe malnutrition, with symptoms such as headache, insomnia, asthenia and hair loss. The daily requirement in adults is about 12-15 mg.

Vitamin B6
The term vitamin B6 indicates three compounds with similar vitamin activity: pyridoxine, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine. It is found in different foods such as liver, fish, meat, milk, eggs, cereals, legumes, potatoes etc. e The daily requirement in adults is approximately 1.5 mg. It performs multiple functions. In fact it is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It intervenes in the synthesis of red blood cells and hemoglobin; it stimulates the production of antibodies and intervenes in the formation of neurotransmitters, in the production of hormones (adrenaline and insulin) and in the metabolization of iron. It carries out anti-allergic and antihistamine activity, therefore it is useful in case of asthma and allergies, in particular when associated with other vitamins, Selenium and other antioxidant minerals. It works in synergy with Magnesium. It is eliminated in the urine. The deficiency is evident with stomatitis, eczema, dermatitis, irritability, tremors and muscle cramps.

Folic acid (Vitamin B9)
It is a vitamin present in cereals, brewer's yeast, liver, vegetable leaves and especially in spinach. After being absorbed in the intestine, folic acid is activated by the liver, which transforms it into folinic acid, distributes it to various tissues or, possibly, deposits it as a reserve.
Vitamin B9 is essential to the life of humans and many other organisms. Folic acid and its derivatives in fact participate in the synthesis of nucleic acids, hemoglobin and some amino acids, such as methionine and glutamic acid, which are very important for growth, reproduction and the proper functioning of the nervous system. Together with vitamin B12 it shares numerous functions, the best known of which is the anti-anemic one. It acts as a coenzyme, together with vitamin B12, in the breakdown and utilization of proteins. The lack of folic acid causes a slowdown in growth, graying of the hair, glossitis, gastrointestinal disorders caused by an inadequate diet and metabolic disorders.

Biotin
It is a water-soluble vitamin belonging to the vitamin B group (it is also known as vitamin B8 or vitamin H). Biotin is an essential nutrient present in small quantities in all tissues where it plays the role of coenzyme (coenzyme R) without which certain enzymes, such as carboxylases, would not perform their functions adequately. These enzymes are in fact involved in the biosynthetic pathway of fatty acids, in gluconeogenesis, in the catabolism of amino acids, in that of fatty acids with an odd number of carbon atoms, in the catabolism of leucine, and in DNA replication. Biotin is also necessary for the synthesis of vitamin C; promotes cell activity and growth; influences the activity of folic acid, pantothenic acid and vitamin B12 and is essential for the integrity of the skin and hair, promoting growth and preventing graying and baldness. Its deficiency, caused by intake or an inadequate diet, causes rash and skin peeling, inflammation of the oral mucosa, seborrheic eczema, nervous system disorders, hair loss and immunosuppression.

Zinc
It is an essential element for the life of human beings. It is present in trace amounts in our body (from 1, 5 to 2.5 g) especially in bones, teeth, skin, liver, muscles and hair, and its daily requirement is between 7 and 10 mg. It is mainly found in foods such as meat, nuts, egg yolk, mushrooms, cocoa even if its intestinal absorption does not exceed 30%. Zinc intervenes in the beta chain of hemoglobin, is involved in the development of the gonads, in nervous functions and in memory. It is part of insulin, of proteins with a zinc-finger structure and acts as a cofactor for the functioning of numerous enzymes involved in cellular metabolism and also in those with antioxidant action such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), therefore it is active above all in the mechanisms of protection from damage induced by free radicals. Its deficiency therefore considerably affects body growth. It is related to the normal absorption and action of vitamins, in particular those of the B complex. It inhibits the activity of the 5-alpha reductase enzyme up to 30%, and if it is associated with pyridoxine (vitamin B6) the effectiveness increases. Finally, zinc activates the synthesis of keratin starting from cystine.

Selenium
It is an important trace element involved in the protection of cells thanks to its antioxidant activity which makes it capable of counteracting the damage induced by free radicals. It acts primarily in association with the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which in turn works together with vitamin E in protecting cells from oxidative damage. It helps to strengthen the immune system, prevents cardiovascular diseases, protects the skin, eyes and hair.

Copper
It is an essential cofactor together with iron for the formation of hemoglobin and for the activity of enzymes such as cytochrome C oxidase and especially the Super Oxide Dismutase (Cu-Zn-SOD) which protect the body from free radicals. As for the hair, copper is essential to catalyze the conversion of tyrosine to dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA), by tyrosine-hydroxylase, during the melanin formation process. Furthermore, copper has considerable importance for the keratinization processes, catalyzing the oxidation of cysteine to cystine with the formation of disulfide bridges. In adult humans, the need for copper is about 4 mg per day and is satisfied above all with meat and legumes present in the diet. In case of inadequate copper supply, the hair is sparse, thin, fragile, with tricorrhesis up to hypotrichia and alopecia.

Manganese
It is a mineral found in fair quantities in cereals and nuts, in smaller quantities in vegetables, while it is scarce in foods of animal origin. The daily requirement varies between 1 and 10 mg. Manganese deficiency causes weight loss and slowed hair growth. Manganese is involved in the constitution of enzymes involved in the metabolism of proteins and carbohydrates and is also essential for the proper development of bones.
