Indicated in case of:

• chronic renal failure (CNI)
• hepatic encephalopathy
• prophylaxis of calcium oxalate stones in the presence of renal insufficiency
• prophylaxis of recurrent urate and cystine stones

Contraindicated for:

• pregnant and lactating females and kittens
