It has a dual function, protection from cold or heat, if positioned with the silver side in contact with the body it retains about 80 percent of body heat (protection from cold), if positioned with the golden side in contact with the body reflects the sun's rays and allows the body to stay cool (heat protection).

Material : metallized polyethylene terephthalate sheet, reflects 90 percent of infrared rays.
