How it works

Macrogol is a water-soluble inert polymer with a high molecular weight that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake by retaining it in the stool.

It determines a rehydration and softening of the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. Accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis.

It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to water and electrolyte imbalances when taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of constipation.

Keep out of the reach and sight of children.

Administration to children should be carried out under direct supervision of an adjunct. Do not use if package is opened or damaged. During pregnancy and lactation use the product under medical supervision. the

The product can reduce the residence time in the intestine and therefore the absorption of medicinal products for oral use. It is therefore advisable to consult a doctor in case of simultaneous intake of medicinal products for oral use, which must in any case be administered at a distance of at least 2 hours. In case of unwanted reactions, stop the treatment and consult your doctor.

Contraindications

Do not take SANIPEG in case of:

- Known hypersensitivity to one or more components

- Intestinal perforation, obstruction, or stricture

- Paralytic ileus

- Severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon.)

The use of laxatives is contraindicated in case of acute abdominal pain or of unknown origin, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin and in case of severe dehydration.

Method of administration and dosage

The measuring cup must be filled flush and not pressed, removing excess powder with the blade of a knife. Use only the measuring cup contained in the package. The measuring cup should only be used for dosing the powder.

adults and children over 12 years of age :

2 to 10 level scoops per day. The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on individual responses to treatment, to allow for smooth evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose needed does not normally exceed 10 scoops per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml for each measuring cup) and take immediately. It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose is to be taken (2 scoops per day). For larger doses divide between morning and evening. If you do not notice any improvement after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Children between the ages of 2 and 12 :

The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for smooth evacuation of soft stools. The maximum dose needed does not normally exceed 4 scoops per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml for each measuring cup) and take immediately. It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if you have to take 1 scoop per day. For larger doses divide the intake between morning and evening. In the absence of restoration of the physiological intestinal regularity after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
