Description

Dermoprotective, emollient and eudermic. Contains Triticum Vulgare germ oil and Jojoba Oil, which promote skin regeneration and Tea Tree Oil and Chlorhexidine with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory action. In addition, the lipophilic vehicle of ABAX Ointment helps to maintain skin hydration.

Characteristics

Tea Tree Oil is extracted from the Melaleuca alternifolia plant. Thanks to its high content of terpenes, highly lipophilic molecules, tea tree oil can damage the cell membranes of bacteria, causing the release of ions and nucleic acids. It also interferes in the LPS-induced synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines and prostaglandins. It can also alter the permeability of the cell and mitochondrial membranes of fungal cells. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic. It is able to bind to the phosphoproteins of the bacterial wall and penetrate inside the cell causing likage of cytoplasmic material. Triticum Vulgare germ oil is known for its regenerative, eudermic and antioxidant properties. Jojoba Oil stimulates the activity of fibroblasts and keratinocytes by activating the p38, ERK1-2 and PI3K / AKT / mTOR pathways. It is also able to stimulate collagen synthesis. It also reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins and proinflammatory cytokines in several experimental models. Vitamin E contributes to the skin repair process and modulates inflammatory mediators. Furthermore, thanks to its antioxidant function, it counteracts the harmful action of free radicals on the skin, slowing down cellular aging and the appearance of wrinkles and dry skin.

How to use

Apply the necessary amount of ointment repeating several times a day as necessary until complete normalization. The residual layer of product favors protection over time. The supplied cannula can be applied to the tube for a precise and effective application even in difficult points (for example scalp and external genitals).
