Description

Active foaming cleanser based on a pool of delicate surfactants and substances with antimicrobial, emollient and protective activity. It is suitable both for the body and for cleansing the hair and scalp. It can also be used on the private parts.

Components

Aliant MICO Cleanser contains Climbazole, Undecylenic Acid, Tea tree oil, Chlorhexidine, Glycyrrhizic Acid, Vitamin E and Aloe Vera.

Characteristics

Climbazole has antifungal activity, being active for example against Malassezia Furfur (microorganism responsible for dandruff) by inhibiting ergosterol, one of the main components of the cell membrane of fungi. Undecylenic acid is an antifungal, particularly active against the fungus Candida Albicans, of which it inhibits, for example, the proliferation, adhesion, mitochondrial activity and formation of the hypha. Tea Tree Oil is extracted from the Melaleuca alternifolia plant. Thanks to its high content of terpenes, highly lipophilic molecules, tea tree oil can damage the cell membranes of bacteria, causing the release of ions and nucleic acids. It also interferes in the LPS-induced synthesis of pro-inflammatory cytokines and prostaglandins. It can also alter the permeability of the cell and mitochondrial membranes of fungal cells. Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic. It is able to bind to the phosphoproteins of the bacterial wall and penetrate inside the cell causing likage of cytoplasmic material. Vitamin E contributes to the skin repair process and modulates inflammation. Furthermore, thanks to its antioxidant function, it counteracts the harmful action of free radicals on the skin, slowing down cellular aging and the appearance of wrinkles and dry skin. Glycyric acid is derived from licorice root and can modulate the inflammatory and allergic response. Aloe Vera is well known for its moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. In fact, it stimulates the growth and activity of macrophages and fibroblasts and is able to reduce the synthesis of pro-inflammatory substances.

How to use

Use the product as it is or diluted in water. If used diluted (for example by pouring the product onto a sponge soaked in warm water) rinsing is not essential.
