Description

Smoothing Keratolytic Treatment is a 50% Lipostabilized Pure Urea cream, specific for severe calloused imperfections, corns, calluses, partridge eyes, thickened nails, foot psoriasis. Its keratolytic and exfoliating action facilitates the possible subsequent mechanical removal of the skin thickenings of the foot. It is not greasy and is rapidly absorbed by the skin. Its innovative formula also provides a refreshing and emollient action.

Characteristics

Urea is an organic compound that used topically can have, depending on the concentration of use, a moisturizing or keratolytic effect. The moisturizing effect is obtained by using low concentrations and is due to an increase in the binding sites for water at the level of the stratum corneum and a reduction in trans-epidermal water dispersion. The kerato-reducing and keratolytic effect is obtained instead at higher concentrations (30-50%) and the mechanism seems to be the alteration, by breaking the hydrogen bonds, of the quaternary structure of the keratin of the stratum corneum. The urea is thus able to denature and disperse the keratin and to thin the stratum corneum without damaging the skin barrier.

How to use

Apply 1 or 2 times a day after cleaning the area to be treated. For a better and longer lasting result, the combination with Podoval UR10 Moisturizer is recommended.
