Description

Cream with 50% of Lipostabilized Urea. It is a keratolytic and exfoliating treatment for localized skin thickening, also facilitating any subsequent mechanical removal. It is not greasy and absorbs quickly. Its innovative formula provides a refreshing and emollient action.

Umbrex 50 contains 50% of Pure Lipostabilized Urea.

Characteristics

Urea is an organic compound that used topically can have, depending on the concentration of use, a moisturizing or keratolytic effect. The moisturizing effect is obtained by using low concentrations and is due to an increase in the binding sites for water at the level of the stratum corneum and a reduction in trans-epidermal water dispersion. The kerato-reducing and keratolytic effect is obtained instead at higher concentrations (30-50%) and the mechanism seems to be the alteration, by breaking the hydrogen bonds, of the quaternary structure of the keratin of the stratum corneum. The urea is thus able to denature and disperse the keratin and to thin the stratum corneum without damaging the skin barrier.

How to use

Apply 1 or 2 times a day after cleaning the area to be treated. For a better and longer lasting result, its combination with Umbrex 10 is recommended.
