SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test
(Colloidal Gold)
Description
The Rapid SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test (Colloidal Gold) is intended for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigen (nucleocapsid protein) found in the nasal cavity (anterior nasal) swab specimen from individuals with suspected COVID infection -19. The test kit is intended for self-testing or home testing.
Adopts immune lateral chromatography technology. When the test sample contains SARS-CoV-2, the SARS-CoV-2 antigen will react with the antibody coated on the test line (T) to cause a red band to appear in the test line area (T); when the contents of SARS-CoV-2 in the test sample is too low or does not exist, a red band does not appear in the test line area (T). Regardless of whether the test sample contains SARS-CoV-2, a red band will appear in the quality control line area (C), which is the basis for judging whether the test is effective.
Instructions for use
Test procedure
It takes approximately 15 minutes to prepare before each test and results can be obtained after 30 minutes.
Preparatory work
1. Use the test kit at room temperature (15°C-30°C). If the test kit has previously been stored in a cool place (below 15°C), equilibrate at 15-30°C for 30 minutes before testing.
2. Prepare a timer, tissues, hand sanitizer/soap and warm water.
3. Wash your hands thoroughly (at least 20 seconds) with soap and warm water/hand sanitizer. This step ensures that the kit does not become contaminated, so dry your hands.
Sample collection
1. Take out the sample extraction tube, unscrew the extraction tube cap.
2. Place the extraction tube on the bracket (fixed to the box) to prevent liquids from escaping.
3. Tear the swab package from the end of the stick and remove the swab.
4. Clean the nostrils with a swab:
- insert the soft head of the swab into the nostril less than 1 inch (normally about 0.5-0.75 inch);
- gently rotate the swab against the nasal wall with moderate force at least five times;
- use the same swab to repeat the collection procedure in the other nostril.
Warning: False negative results may occur if the antigen sample is not collected correctly. The person under the age of 18 should be tested with the assistance of the legal guardian or an authorized person.
Sample processing
1. Pull out the extraction tube, dip the soft swab head into the extraction solution, and immerse it in the liquid.
2. Press the soft swab head firmly against the inner wall of the extraction tube and rotate the swab clockwise or counterclockwise approximately 10 times.
3. Push the swab head along the inside wall of the sample extraction tube under the liquid in the tube as far as possible, extract the swab.
4. Tighten the standby tube.
Sample testing
1. Tear the foil bag, take out the test card and place it horizontally on the test stand.
Warning: The platform must be in a horizontal and stable state, and tilting and swinging are strictly prohibited.
2. Disconnect the sample addition hole cover from the extraction tube.
3. Gently squeeze the extraction tube and drop 2 drops of liquid vertically into the test card sample well.
Warning: The existence of bubbles in the extraction tube may lead to incorrect sample volume and inaccurate test results. If there are bubbles in the extraction tube
