Screen Check Test Influenza A / B Screen Pharma - Medical Diagnostic Device
Influenza A / B Test is a qualitative test capable of detecting influenza type A (including H1N1) and type B antigen by drawing a nasal or throat swab. The device serves as an aid in determining infection with influenza A and B viruses.
Screen Check Test Influenza A and B is an In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device CE 0123. Read the warnings and instructions for use carefully.
Influenza is a highly contagious acute viral infection involving the respiratory tract. It is an infection that is easily transmitted through coughing and sneezing containing live viruses. Flu epidemics occur every year during the autumn and winter months. There are three types of influenza viruses: A, B and C. The influenza A virus is associated with the most severe influenza epidemics. Influenza B is milder and its infection rate is slower than virus A, however more severe and faster in infection rate than virus C. Influenza produces symptoms such as headache, chills, dry cough and fatigue.
There are several drugs on the market for the treatment of a flu infection that greatly reduce the virulence and symptoms of the disease, but only if they are used in the first 24 to 30 hours after the first onset of symptoms. Especially for high-risk groups, it is useful to have a test at home at home to be able to check when the first symptoms appear. With a positive test result, you can immediately get medical help and start treatment.
Screen Test Influenza A / B is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the visual detection of influenza A and B nucleoprotein antigens extracted from nasal or throat swabs.
As the sample is poured into the test cassette, capillary action causes the spilled sample to migrate along the membrane. When influenza type A antigen levels are at or above the detection margin, a visible colored line appears in test zone “2” near the control zone. The absence of this colored line in the test zone near the control zone suggests a negative result.
When influenza type B antigen levels are at or above the detection margin, a visible colored line appears in the test zone “1” away from the control zone. The absence of this colored line in the test zone near the control zone suggests a negative result.
If the test has been performed correctly a colored line will appear in the control region “C” as a procedural control function.
HOW TO USE IT
- Use one tube (provided in the kit) for each sample to be tested, and label each tube appropriately. Transfer all of the reagent (approximately 0.4ml) from the bottle to the tube.
- Place the swab with which you collected the sample into the tube and rotate the swab 10 times by pressing the tip of the swab against the inside of the tube to release the sample.
- Bring the package to room temperature before opening it.
- Press the swab head against the inside of the tube to remove as much liquid as possible from the swab during removal. Discard the swab.
- Cap the tube and mix the contents by gently shaking. The sample must be tested immediately after extraction.
- Remove the test device from the sealed foil pouch by tearing off the notch. Place 3 ~ 4 drops (80μl ~ 100μl) of the sample extracted from the tube into the appropriate well (with an arrow marked) of the test panel by inverting and squeezing the tube as shown.
- Read the test results after 15 ~ 20 minutes. DO NOT read the test results after 30 minutes.
