FOB TEST BLOOD IN THE FECES

Indications:
detects the presence of occult blood in the stool. Useful to promptly notice the onset of some diseases that can arise in the digestive system.

How to use:
- Collect a stool sample in a clean, dry container and perform the analysis immediately. It is advisable to collect the feces before they touch the toilet. This can be facilitated by placing toilet paper on the hand. Transfer the sample immediately to the container;
- unscrew and extract the collector cap from the tube, be careful not to splash or overflow the extraction solution out of the container;
- take samples of various parts of the stool with the help of the applicator stick. It is necessary to fill the concave part but not the cap;
- reinsert the collection cap into the tube and screw it gently on, taking care not to break the tip of the collection tube;
- remove the test from the foil pouch and perform the procedure as soon as possible. The desiccant solution is white when it is dry;
- shake the collection tube 5 times to ensure that the sample mixes properly with the solution (there should be no large parts);
- remove the cap of the collection tube. Break off the tip of the collection tube using absorbent paper with a quick motion. Be careful not to disperse the liquid;
- hold the collection tube upright and add 3 drops of solution to the test strip. As the test begins to react, you will notice a slight red stream moving through the test control window. The result should be read within 5 minutes. Do not interpret the test result after 10 minutes.

Reading the result:
- negative: the control line ("C") appears in the window, but the test line ("T") is not visible;
- positive: two red lines are visible in the control area ("C") and in the test area ("T"). The intensity of the test line may be more or less light than that of the control line, however this means that the outcome is positive;
- invalid: the test is not valid when the control line is not visible after 5 minutes. The test failed or was not performed correctly. Check the test procedure and repeat it with a new test.
