SCREEN CHECK TEST
Screen Test SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza A+B
Antigen Combo Rapid test (Nasal Swab)
Description
Single-use test designed to identify the SARS-CoV-2, influenza A and influenza B virus causing COVID-19 and/or influenza, via a self-collected swab sample.
The test is intended for use on symptomatic/asymptomatic subjects suspected of being infected with COVID-19 and/or influenza A+B.
The results identify the antigens of the SARS-CoV-2 core capsid protein and the influenza A and B nucleoproteins. The antigen is usually detectable in upper airway specimens during the acute phase of the infection.
Positive results indicate the presence of viral antigens, but a clinical anamnestic comparison of the patient and other diagnostic information is necessary to determine the infectious status. Positive results indicate the presence of SARS-CoV-2 and/or influenza A+B. Individuals who test positive will have to self-isolate and request medical assistance from the relevant bodies. Positive results do not exclude bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses.
Negative results do not exclude infection with SARS-CoV-2 and/or influenza A+B. Individuals who test negative and continue to experience symptoms associated with COVID or influenza should seek further medical assistance from appropriate agencies.
Instructions for use
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after the test. If soap and water are not available, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
Sample collection
Remove the sterile swab from the package. Do not touch the cotton end of the swab with your hands. Insert the swab into the nostril until you feel resistance (about 2 cm deep). Slowly rotate the swab, rubbing it along the internal walls of the nostril 5-10 times. This operation may be annoying. Do not insert the swab deeper if you feel strong resistance or pain. When the nasal mucosa is damaged or bleeding, the nasal swab is not recommended. If you swab others, wear a protective mask. For children it is not necessary to insert the swab deep inside the nose. For very young children, the help of a second person may be needed to hold the head still during the swab. Gently remove the swab. Using the same swab, repeat the operation in the other nostril.
Sample preparation
Remove the cap from the tube containing the extraction solution and place it in the hole on the box.
Place the swab into the extraction tube, making sure it touches the bottom and rotate to mix well. Press the tip of the swab on the walls of the test tube and rotate it for 10-15 seconds. Extract the swab by pressing the end into the extraction tube.
Dispose of the swab in a plastic bag. Close the extraction tube.
Test execution
Remove the test cassette from the sealed package and use it within one hour. Best results are obtained if the test is performed immediately after opening the sealed package.
Place the test cassette on a flat, dry surface. Invert the extraction tube containing the sample and add 3 drops of the extracted sample to the sample well (S) on the test cassette and start the timer. Do not move the test cassette during this step.
Read the results after 10 minutes. Do not read results after more than 20 minutes.
At the end of the test, place all the components in a plastic bag
