VETERINARY SCREEN TEST
Screen Vet Coronavirus
Cat Coronavirus Rapid Test (Feces)
Description
Sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography assay for the qualitative detection of feline coronavirus antigen (FCoV Ag) in feline feces.
It is based on the sandwich lateral flow immunochromatography assay. When the sample is applied to the sample well on the cassette, the liquid flows laterally over the surface of the test strip.
If there is enough feline coronavirus antigen in the sample, a visible T-line will appear. Line C should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. In this way, the cassette can accurately indicate the presence of feline coronavirus antigen in the sample.
How to use
Allow the Test Cassette, specimen, swab, and/or controls to equilibrate to room temperature (15-30°C) before testing.
Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and use it as soon as possible. Best results are obtained if the test is performed within one hour.
Collect the cat's feces with the swab. Insert the stool swab into the extraction tube provided with the kit. Shake to ensure sufficient sample extraction.
Place the test cassette on a clean, flat surface. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 drops of extracted sample (approximately 120 mcL) into the sample well (S) of the test cassette, then start the timer.
Read the result at 10 minutes. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes.
Interpretation of results
POSITIVE: Both the control line (C) and the test line (T) appear. The result is to be considered positive regardless of the color intensity of the test line (T).
NEGATIVE: Only the control line (C) is displayed.
INVALID: The control line (C) does not appear. Regardless of whether the test line (T) is present or not, the result is considered invalid.
Warnings
Do not use after the expiration date.
Handle all specimens as if they contain infectious agents. Observe established precautions against microbiological hazards during testing and follow standard procedures for proper disposal of specimens.
Wear disposable gloves and eye protection when testing.
Humidity and temperature can adversely affect results.
Do not remove the test cassette from its packaging until ready to use.
Do not reuse the test kit.
Do not mix components from different lots and different products.
The test is intended for veterinary in vitro diagnosis only. All results should be considered in conjunction with other clinical information available from the veterinarian. For an accurate result, it is suggested to perform a PCR test for final determination.
storage
Store as packaged in the sealed pouch at room temperature or in a refrigerator (2-30°C). Do not freeze.
The test is stable until the expiration date printed on the sealed pouch. The test cassette should remain in the sealed pouch until use.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
Format
The kit contains:
- 1 test cassette;
- 1 dropper pipette;
- 1 tampon;
- 1 extraction solution;
- leaflet.
