SedaPeg Humana - Medical Device

Sedapeg is a medical device based on Macrogol 3350 , indicated in cases of chronic constipation and in case of irregular bowel. Thanks to the osmotic effect of Macrogol 3350, it determines rehydration and softening of the fecal mass by accelerating intestinal transit, favoring peristalsis and facilitating evacuation in a natural way.
It is not absorbed or metabolised in the intestine, it does not ferment in the intestine, it does not irritate the mucosa and is eliminated in the faeces in an unmodified form.

How to use

Dissolve the contents of one sachet in a glass (about 120 ml) of water or other liquid.
Mix until completely dissolved.
Drink the reconstituted solution.
The number of sachets to be taken can be previously reconstituted in the appropriate volume of water and the solution stored in the refrigerator covered, for up to 24 hours.
If not used, it must be eliminated.
It is recommended to take Sedapeg between meals.
Take Sedapeg away from taking drugs as accelerating intestinal transit could negatively affect their effectiveness.

Dosage

Shock therapy in case of constipation:
from 6 months to 2 years: half a sachet - 2 sachets per day.
From 2 to 4 years: 2-3 sachets per day.
Over 5 years: 3-4 sachets per day.
Take for up to 5 days.

Maintenance therapy:
from 6 months to 2 years: half a sachet - 1 sachet per day.
From 2 to 4 years: 1 sachet per day.
Over 5 years: 2 sachets per day.
Maximum therapy cycle of 28 days.

Ingrediants

Macrogol 3350, fructose, flavor, anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide.

Warnings

The use of Sedapeg should be considered a complementary and temporary treatment to be associated with a healthy lifestyle and a varied and balanced diet appropriate to constipation.
In the case of other therapies in progress consult your doctor before taking Sedapeg.
Do not continue the treatment beyond 28 days.
Do not exceed the maximum dose of 4 sachets per day.
The expiry date refers to the intact and correctly stored product.
