What is Olio do Pid?

Pid oil is not a shampoo: in fact, it is a real oil that washes the hair, sanitizes it and creates an unfavorable environment for lice to settle.

It is made of castor oil treated with a procedure patented by DERBE, thanks to which once the oil has been applied it is washed with water. Essential oils of lemon, bergamot, common thyme, lavender and geranium have been added to increase the effectiveness of the product and to generate an unfavorable environment for the subsequent establishment of the louse itself.

Although castor oil is not a chemically active (and therefore toxic!) Molecule, it performs a mechanical action that leads the louse to death through asphyxiation. The louse breathes through holes that the oil closes, but can survive in apnea up to 45 minutes. Essential oils are toxic to both louse and nits.

How is it applied?

PID oil is strictly applied to dry hair for a time that can vary from 25 to 45 minutes. The louse rapidly in respiratory distress tends to reduce the grip made by the hooks placed on the legs that anchor it to the hair and consequently the effectiveness of freeing the head from the infestation is obtained with a natural-physical procedure that does not produce any resistance. Once applied to dry skin and hair, the Pid Oil begins to act on the insect and, before rinsing, with the aid of the dense comb, we remove both the nits and the lice. The nits, which are largely deposited behind the ears and on the nape of the neck, adhere to the hair thanks to a sticky substance that is easily removed by the similarity of the Pid oil. It rinses thoroughly, nothing else; the hair is perfectly healthy and clean. With Olio di Pid you can wash as many times as you want. Its characteristic odor derives from the natural essences it contains and which perform a louse repellent action. It is advisable to repeat the treatment, to eradicate the nits that we were unable to remove, after 24 - 48 hours and possibly the following week.

Storage and packaging

Seres Pid oil is sold in packs of 200 ml in a bottle ready to use, it is important to keep pid oil in a cool place away from sources of heat and humidity, keep out of the reach of children.
