How to use
Thoroughly wash and rinse all equipment to be used in food preparation. Sterilize all utensils according to the manufacturer's instructions or boil for 10 minutes. Boil running tap water (not bottled) and allow to cool for no more than 30 minutes. Do not use artificially softened water or repeatedly boiled water. Wash your hands and clean the surface you intend to use. Pour the right amount of previously boiled hot water into the sterilized bottle. Fill the measuring cup with the Similac Alimentum powder, leveling with the back of a clean and dry knife. Don't press. Add a measuring cup of Similac Alimentum every 30 ml of water. Use only the measuring cup included in the jar. Close the bottle and shake gently until completely dissolved. Place a sterilized teat on the bottle and check the temperature (the drops of milk should be warm on the inside of the wrist). If necessary, cool under cold running water. Delete the formula that has not been used within 1 hour. It is recommended that each feed be prepared as required. If preparing more than one feed, refrigerate at 2 ° C-4 ° C and use within 24 hours.
The prepared formula can also be given from a cup and, for older children, can be mixed with grains or other solid foods, as recommended by the doctor. Never leave your baby alone at feeding time. Never use a microwave oven to prepare or heat the formula as it can cause severe burns. Good dental hygiene is important for babies and children, consult your doctor for advice. Do not use a bottle as a tranquilizer, if possible, from 6 months onwards accustom the baby to use a cup for suckling.
This table is indicative only. Each child can request more or less than the indicated quantities. If you need advice, consult your doctor. Babies over 6 months of age should receive supplemental foods in addition to Similac Alimentum, as directed by their doctor. Remember to feed the baby on request, unless the doctor advises otherwise.
