SLURP TREATMENTThe intestinal function
Complementary powdered feed for horses that hydrates the intestinal content, promoting enteric transit and faecal evacuation. It cleanses the intestinal walls and soothes the irritation of the mucous membrane. Slurp treatment is composed of cooked flaxseed, barley, maize, wheat middlings, pyllium powder, high temperature dehydrated alfalfa, dried carob beans, chicory inulin and glucose.

PROPERTY
Slurp treatment is recommended for: facilitating the removal of sand or earth from the intestine, hydrating the intestinal contents and promoting the resolution of colic from constipation, restoring and regularizing the enteric activity following colic from constipation. It can be used to restore the normal diet in patients recovering from intestinal surgery.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT USE
The doses refer to the powder product not yet reconstituted with water. Pour the contents of the jar into 6 liters of hot water, mix until completely dissolved and administer lukewarm. Do not feed dry. Leave free access to the drinking water. In subjects with no appetite, administer by means of a naso-esophageal probe. To help restore intestinal function in subjects recovering from surgery from the second day of convalescence, administer one jar a day, until normal intestinal function is restored. In subjects with accumulation of sand or earth in the colon, administer a jar once a day for at least 7 consecutive days. Complete the daily ration with a generous supply of hay soaked in water. In subjects with intestinal colic from constipation of the faecal mass, administer a can diluted in at least 6 liters of warm water per rhino-esophageal probe.
