ALLEVYN Sacrum is a highly absorbent HYDROCELLULAR polyurethane foam dressing shaped for the sacral area. This is an anatomical site and particularly difficult to dress, both for its conformation and for its proximity to the anal sphincter, for this reason a dressing is necessary that guarantees a good seal and an effective barrier.
ALLEVYN Sacrum has a unique triple layer structure that makes the wound environment optimal for healing thanks to better management of exudate thus achieving a reduction in the risk of maceration and promoting faster healing. ALLEVYN Sacrum consists of:
- an external layer in polyurethane film, impermeable to liquids and bacteria, with dynamic transpiration capable of creating an impenetrable barrier to defend the lesion.
- a soft and absorbent intermediate layer in HYDROCELLULAR polyurethane foam.
- a perforated wound contact layer, evenly coated with hypoallergenic water-based acrylic adhesive.
