MULTI-DRUG TESTS
Description
Lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of multiple drugs and metabolites in urine.
Instructions for use
Collect the urine sample in a clean, dry container. Urine samples collected at any time of the day can be used.
Urine samples can be stored at a temperature of 2-8°C for up to 48 hours before testing.
Before testing, bring the test device and urine sample to room temperature (15-30°C).
Take out the test device and use it as soon as possible. Remove the external cap of the test, with the arrows pointing towards the urine sample, immerse the device vertically in the urine sample for at least 10-15 seconds up to the wavy lines of the strips, taking care not to go beyond the arrows on the panel.
Place the test device on a clean, flat, non-absorbent surface.
Activate the timer and wait for the lines to color. Read the result after 5 minutes, do not interpret the result after 10 minutes.
Interpretation of results
NEGATIVE: Two colored lines appear, the test line (T) and the control line (C). The color intensity of the test line (T) may vary but this is of no relevance to the interpretation of the test results, the result must in any case be considered negative.
The negative result indicates that the drug concentration in the urine sample is below the cut-off level or limit of detection for that specific drug.
POSITIVE: only the control line (C) appears. The test line (T) does not appear.
The positive result indicates that the drug concentration exceeds the cut-off or limit of detection for that specific drug.
INVALID: no line appears or only the test line (T) appears. The result is to be considered invalid. It is recommended to repeat the test. If the problem persists, contact the seller.
Warnings
Product not intended for medical or diagnostic use.
Store the device in the closed package until ready for use.
All samples must be considered potentially dangerous and, therefore, must be handled with the precautions for use relating to potentially infectious products.
After use, the test must be disposed of according to local regulations.
The test provides a qualitative result to be considered preliminary. A second analytical method must be considered to confirm the result. Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry (GC/MS) are considered preferential confirmation methods.
It is possible that technical or procedural errors, as well as interfering substances present in the urine sample, could cause erroneous results.
A positive result indicates the presence of the drug or its metabolites but not the level of intoxication, the route of administration or the concentration in the urine.
A negative result does not necessarily mean that the urine sample is drug-free. A negative result may be obtained when the drug is present but at a concentration below the detection level of the test.
The test cannot distinguish between the drug and a medicine containing the same substance.
storage
Store at a temperature between 2°C and 30°C. Do not freeze.
Validity with intact packaging: 24 months.
Format
The kit contains:
- test device;
- dropper;
- information leaflet.
