How to identify the right size

Correct measurement of the limb is necessary for optimal function of the sock: for this purpose, a check by a technician or specialist is recommended. It is preferable that the measurements are made in the morning, when the legs are less edematous.

MEASURES TO BE TAKEN:

  • ankle circumference (cB), where it is thinnest. This is the point of maximum pressure.
  • Circumference of the leg at the highest point reached by the sock; depending on the model it will be:
    • crotch stocking and pantyhose: circumference at the groin point (cG);
    • mid-thigh sock: circumference at the point halfway between groin and knee (CF);
    • knee-high: circumference at the point below the knee (cD).
  • The length is measured from the base of the foot (a) to the highest point the sock reaches on the leg, it will therefore be:
    • (lG) crotch stocking and pantyhose;
    • (1F) mid-thigh stocking;
    • (lD) for the knee-highs.

  • In the case of limbs that are not particularly edematous (without excessive swelling) it is also possible to use the WEIGHT / HEIGHT RATIO SIZE TABLE of the preventive line to choose the right size.
  • For enlarged limbs, refer to the circumference table. In this case it is necessary to measure the circumferences of the limb in the points indicated above.
