In addition, the bacteriostatic silver ion yarn that controls bacterial proliferation and prevents the onset of bad odors. Graduated compression 18/21 mmHg is indicated for the treatment of varicose veins, significant edema and is recommended in post-varicectomy and post-sclerotherapy prophylaxis. It is equipped with a soft elastic waistband and an anti-stress footbed. The open tip is optimal for diabetic patients with trophic skin problems and in case of halluxvalgus.

How to identify the right size

Correct measurement of the limb is necessary for optimal function of the sock: for this purpose, a check by a technician or specialist is recommended. It is preferable that the measurements are made in the morning, when the legs are less edematous.

MEASURES TO BE TAKEN:

• ankle circumference (cB), where it is thinnest. This is the point of maximum pressure.
• Circumference of the leg at the highest point reached by the sock; depending on the model it will be:
  • crotch stocking and pantyhose: circumference at the groin point (cG);
  • mid-thigh stocking: circumference at the point halfway between groin and knee (CF);
  • knee-high: circumference at the point below the knee (cD).
• The length is measured from the base of the foot (a) to the highest point the sock reaches on the leg, it will therefore be:
• (lG) crotch stocking and pantyhose;
• (1F) mid-thigh stocking;
• (lD) for the knee-highs.
