• Echinacea extract: 0.200 g
• L-proline: 0.0752 g
• L-glycine: 0.100 g
• L-lysine HCl: 0.014 g
• L-leucine: 0.0108 g
• Buffered isotonic solution: enough for 100 ml
Description
The product consists of an ophthalmic solution without sterile preservatives containing hyaluronic acid and Echinacea extract which has the purpose of protecting the corneal epithelium and helping to increase the biological defenses of the tear film through a better stabilization and conservation of its characteristics.
Hyaluronic acid is a mucopolysaccharide that becomes part of numerous tissues in the body.
It has the property of adhering to the mucus of the ocular surface, protecting, humidifying and lubricating it.
Due to its mucoadhesive characteristics it remains on the surface of the eye for a long time and stabilizes the tear film.
The Echinacea extract contains substances that have been shown to be able to help maintain the immune defenses of the tear film and facilitate the reparative processes of the ocular surface.
The Echinacea extract is also characterized by its hyaluronidase inhibiting properties.
The amino acids L-proline, L-glycine, L-lysine hydrochloride and L-leucine, contained in the product, increase the lubrication of the ocular surface and can contribute to the improvement of the protection of epithelia subjected to various types of stress.
The absence of preservatives in the solution helps to increase the safety of use of the product and to make it suitable also for contact lens wearers.
Indications
Lacrimal substitute useful for the protection of the cornea and for the increase of the natural defenses of the ocular surface, even in the presence of surgical or traumatic lesions.
How to use
Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac 2-3 times a day, or according to medical prescription.
The product can also be instilled into the eye when wearing contact lenses or on the inner surface of the contact lens before its application.
Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to product components or other chemically related substances.
Precautions and warnings
Close the bottle tightly after use.
To eliminate the risk of contamination of the solution, do not allow the dropper to come into contact with the eye or other objects.
Do not use in case of eye infection.
In case of administration of ophthalmic solutions for curative purposes consult your doctor.
Before use, check that the product is intact.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the bottle.
