Speed CPSE
Description
Quantitative and rapid immunochromatographic veterinary diagnostic test which allows to obtain a dosage of circulating CPSE by means of a laser-induced fluorescence analysis.
A fluorescence immunoassay for the quantitative measurement of canine prostate-specific esterase (CPSE) in canine serum or plasma.
Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most frequent diseases affecting the prostate in dogs, characterized by the proliferation (hyperplasia) and increase in size (hypertrophy) of prostatic cells. These structural changes cause an increase in the blood level of canine prostate-specific arginine esterase (CPSE), an enzyme secreted by the prostate.
For in vitro use only.
How to use
The Speed CPSE cannot be interpreted visually and must only be read using a Speed Reader analyzer. For complete instructions, refer to the Speed Reader Operator's Guide.
Do not mix test devices, reagent tubes, and calibration chips from different lots.
Allow the reagent and cell to reach room temperature (18°C to 27°C) for at least 10 minutes before use.
Set the Speed Reader analyzer parameters as described in the operator's guide.
Sample transfer :
Using the dropper tip, puncture the aluminum foil to fully open the reagent tube. Place a new disposable tip on the pipette.
Transfer 50 mcL of sample to the reagent tube, following the instructions for proper pipette use. Be careful not to touch the walls of the reagent tube with the tip.
Carefully seal the reagent tube with the dropper cap.
Gently mix the contents by inverting the tube at least 5 times. Do not shake.
Sample application :
Remove the plastic lid from the dropper cap and discard the first 2 drops of the mixture to flush out the dead space in the dropper.
Add 2 drops of the mixture to the sample well of the test device.
Reading :
When the analyzer instruction appears, insert the test device into the Speed Reader cartridge holder in the direction indicated by the arrow (sample well first) and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Read the results on the screen.
Interpretation :
CPSE concentration is measured in ng/mL, between 5 ng/mL and 500 ng/mL.
These recommendations are intended as a guide only. This test is intended to measure CPSE concentrations in canine blood. The interpretation of the results by the veterinarian must always take into account the history, the clinical examination of the animal and any other diagnostic tests, since no diagnostic method is 100% accurate. The final diagnosis remains the prerogative and responsibility of the attending veterinarian.
Bio Veto Test and its distributors cannot be held responsible for the consequences related to incorrect use or incorrect interpretation of the results provided by this test.
Warnings
Only use serum or plasma (lithium heparin) samples. Do not use whole blood or EDTA plasma.
