Post-operative stockings have a broad spectrum of use in the outpatient and semi-outpatient treatment of thrombosis, in venous surgery and in replacement of the classic compression bandages of the lower limbs.
With a pressure of 23 mmHg at the ankle, which gradually decreases in the direction of the thigh, mediven struva 23 is especially indicated for short post-operative direct compression after venous surgery. In this way, venous return is favored and the formation of edema and hematomas is prevented.
In venous surgery, mediven struva 23 is used as a supplement to mediven struva 35.

How it works

The standardized pressure gradient ensures a compression at the ankle level of 35 mmHg, which decreases continuously towards the thigh. Studies confirm the high degree of effectiveness of using mediven struva in optimally accelerating venous return. This makes mediven struva an effective alternative to conventional compression bandages.

Indications

• Short-term post-operative compression, to promote venous return after venous surgery (ligation, sclerotherapy, antithrombotic therapy).
• Mild or moderate lymphological clinical pictures.
• Prevention of edema and hematomas.
• Compression treatment of acute thrombosis.

Advantages of the product

• During and after surgery, the unoperated leg is treated with mediven struva 23, for the prevention of thrombosis.
• After 1-4 days, when the compression treatment of the operated leg with mediven struva 35 is stopped, this leg can also be treated with mediven struva 23.
