Mediven struva 35 stockings are particularly suitable for use in venous surgery.
Other fields of use are represented by the compressive treatment of an acute thrombosis and mild or moderate lymphatic diseases.
mediven struva 35 is applied in the operating room immediately after surgery and remains applied to the operated leg for approximately 1-4 days.

Indications

• Physical prophylaxis of pre, intra and postoperative thrombosis in mobilized patients.
• Prevention and treatment of post-operative and post-traumatic edema and hematoma as well as reduction of associated pain (e.g. in the case of orthopedic or phlebological surgery).
• Therapy of venous ulceration in loosened / partially loosened patients compression treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis

Contraindications

• Advanced occlusive peripheral arterial disease (if one of the following parameters is present: ABI <0.5, ankle blood pressure <60 mmHg
• big toe pressure <30 mmgH or TcPO2 <20 mmHg on the back of the foot)
• congestive heart failure (NYHA III + IV)
• septic phlebitis
• Phlegmasia cerulea dolens
• massive edema of the lower limbs
• Pay particular attention in case of
• Severe exuding dermatitis
• intolerance to compression material
• strong paresthesia of the limbs
• advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. related to diabetes mellitus)
• primary chronic polyarthritis
