The pulse oximeter is designed to measure functional oxygen saturation (SpO2) and heart rate (PR) in adult and pediatric patients.

Blood oxygen saturation is the percentage of HbO2 in the total blood Hb, the so-called blood oxygen saturation. It is a bio-parameter for breathing. The principle of the oximeter is this: a mathematical equation is established using Lambert Beer's law, according to the Spectrum Absorption Characteristics of reduced hemoglobin (Hb) and Oxyhemoglobin (HbO2) in the illuminated and near infrared areas.
Operating principle of the instrument: the Photoelectric Inspection Technology of Oxyhemoglobin is used in accordance with the Scan and Recording Technology of the Pulsation Capacity, so that the two beams with different wavelengths can be concentrated on the tip of the human nail through a sensor of the finger clamp type. A measured signal is then obtained from a photosensitive element. This information is shown on the display after being processed by the electronic circuits and the microprocessor.

How to use

1. Remove the battery cover and insert the two AAA batteries following the polarity indications indicated inside the battery compartment, then replace the cover.
2. Hold the oximeter with the display facing you, slide your finger into the opening probe of the device, until your fingertip touches the integrated stop guide. For best results, make sure your finger is centered in the finger guide.
3. Press the device button to activate the oximeter from sleep mode, then the measurement interface will be displayed in 3 seconds.
4. The measurement result can be read directly from the screen.
5. The oximeter will automatically enter sleep mode within 8 seconds when the finger is removed from the probe.

Warnings

Do not use the oximeter in an MRI (MR or CT) environment. Keep the oximeter away from heat sources.
