Antimicrobial dressing that regulates the release of moisture for low to medium exuding wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. In addition to the properties and advantages of Suprasorb X, equipped with HydroBalance biosynthetic fibers, Suprasorb X + PHMB releases an active ingredient with proven antimicrobial efficacy: 0.3% polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB). PHMB exerts its broad spectrobacterial action both as a dressing and on the wound surface and effectively destroys microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi and yeasts. Sterile tablet, individually packed.
Even in the case of clinically manifest infections, it offers high safety for the operator and good tolerability for the patient. It also offers reliable efficacy against MRSA and VRE. In the context of moist wound treatment, care must be taken in selecting the appropriate secondary dressing as Suprasorb X + PHMB remains moist in the wound area.
Indicated for wound therapy:
wounds with weak or medium exudate;
superficial or deep wounds;
wounds at risk of infection;
infected wounds;
ulcers of different origin;
2nd degree burns;
donor sites and skin grafts;
post-operative wounds;
abrasions, lacerations.

How to use
Cleanse the wound following the usual standards, then dab with the sterile compress to carefully dry the periwound area.
Apply Sla dressing to the wound and shape. If using a tampon, fold it several times and apply it into the wound without pressing too hard.
Depending on the degree of exudation, fix with the appropriate bandage.
Dressing change interval: in the opinion of the treating physician based on the condition of the wound, the degree of exudation and the possible secondary dressing used, but no later than 5-7 days.

Warnings
In case of infections: secondary occlusive dressing only if decided by the caregiver and according to the general situation.
