Instructions for use
Height measurement: The cane must be of the correct height to walk safely. Wear shoes when measuring height. Stand up straight, arms extended along your body. Have someone measure your floor-to-wrist height. This is the height of the stick. Remove the end. Saw the stick to the desired height. Reposition the end.
How to use a cane: Hold the cane on the side opposite your injured leg. Take a step forward with the injured leg and move the stick forward at the same time. Lean your body weight onto the stick. Transfer your body weight to the injured leg and move the other leg forward. The stick must be moved forward no more than a distance equivalent to one step. If you feel a stretching effect during use, it means that the cane has been moved too far forward. If you use the cane every day and not occasionally, following an accident, hold the cane in your strongest hand and bring the weight up that side of the body. In the case of rehabilitation with a physiotherapist, you may be asked to follow a specific and different method.
Cleaning: The product should be cleaned regularly with a clean, dry cloth. The handle should be cleaned with a non-abrasive cream detergent. Do not lubricate.
