Tegaderm ™ Alginate AG 3M ™ Dressing

Adsorbent dressing composed of calcium alginate.
Indicated for the dressing of wounds with moderate to high exudate production.
Adaptable to different degrees of depth of wounds, both superficial and cavity, thanks also to the new tape format.
Due to its particular composition it maintains its integrity without flaking and without dispersing fibers inside the wound.
Once saturated, it gels allowing for easy removal without dispersion of components, which also promotes a more comfortable dressing change for the patient.
Also indicated for exuding infected wounds as it is able to manage exudate and imprison bacteria.
ideal for moderate to high exudate wounds with varying degrees of depth, from superficial to cavity.
- Bedsores.
- Ulcers of the lower limbs.
- Suction sites and skin grafts.
- Traumatic wounds.
- Other skin lesions.
In deep and full thickness wounds it can be used to fill the dead spaces.
It is not recommended for dry ulcers, third degree burns, wounds with eschar.

How to use

Choose the appropriate size dressing (can be cut if necessary).
Apply the dressing on the wound trying not to let it come out on the periwound skin.
Close the dressing with a secondary dressing.

Application

- Remove the required length of tape from the package.
- It is necessary to open the belt as it is pressed for the compactness of the packaging.
- Place the tape inside the wound without compressing, trying to include undermined areas as well.
- Leave the end of the tape towards the outside of the wound (facilitates removal).
