It is a small plant that grows in hot and dry fields, the flowers are starry, of a tender pink color and open only in the sunniest days and hours, while when it is cold and humid or hot and windy the flower closes and becomes almost invisible, it mingles with the herbs around it, adapts too much to their needs.
Between May and September, it presents small, five-petalled star-shaped flowers with a tube-shaped corolla and in pink or red bunches. The harvest takes place from June to August.
