In Gragnano, making pasta is an ancient art, a heritage of history, culture, traditions and secrets. Being born and living in Gragnano means being pervaded, inebriated by the exalting flavors and aromas of durum wheat semolina and the resulting pasta. Mario Moccia in 1976, despite being an important and historic cheese maturer, could not resist the call of being from Gragnano ... and bought a famous pasta factory, but in a profound crisis, dedicating, "with not a few difficulties, in a moment unhappy for the pasta market ", his whole life to the total restoration of the building in the historic center, the construction of the new factory, as well as the relaunch of pasta and its brands, the birth of the first consortium of Gragnano pasta factories: the COPAG , actively and importantly contributing to the affirmation and redevelopment of Gragnano pasta on markets all over the world. In 1994 the pasta factory was sold. After a few years, out of love, out of passion, in honor of their father, the children re-founded the artisan pasta factory with a high quality production.
