A band of soft and comfortable material with special patented cells that contain natural components (iron, coal, salt and water) which develop heat upon contact with oxygen in the air. When applied for 8 hours, ThermaCare's constant heat provides sustained pain relief for up to 16 hours *.

Prolonged heat, at a constant temperature, increases blood circulation in the tissues, producing pain-relieving effects and relaxing the muscles, as:
• brings more oxygen to damaged tissues, helping the muscle to return to a state of well-being;
• stimulates the nerve endings, sensitive to temperature, interrupting the transmission of pain and thus promoting muscle relaxation.

How to use

Open the package when ready to use. ThermaCare can take up to 30 minutes to reach its therapeutic temperature. Remove the protective paper from one of the adhesive tabs. Place on the painful area with the darker part of the cells facing the skin and press the adhesive tab firmly onto the skin. Remove the protective paper from the other adhesive tab and press firmly to the skin. For maximum effectiveness, it is recommended to wear ThermaCare for 8 hours.
The product can be thrown hot or cold with normal household waste.

Warnings

Do not use in case of:
• if the contents of the cells are leaking and / or the band is damaged;
• with medicated creams or ointments, patches or other sources of heat;
• on scratched or bruised skin;
• on bruises and swellings that have appeared in the last 48 hours;
• on areas of the body that are insensitive to heat;
• by people who are unable to follow all instructions for use or who are unable to remove the product on their own, including children and the elderly who are not self-sufficient.

Seek the advice of your doctor before use in cases of diabetes, circulation problems, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis and pregnancy.
This product can cause burns. To reduce the risk:
• Periodically check the skin to check for any signs of irritation or burns and, if any are found, stop use immediately.
• If you feel excessive heat, discontinue use or wear ThermaCare over clothing, not in direct contact with the skin.
• Above 55 years of age, the risk of sunburn increases with age, wear ThermaCare over a piece of clothing and do not use the headband when sleeping.
• To avoid an increased risk of burns, remove the product before undergoing MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) examinations.
• When using for the wrist, be careful not to overlap the cells.
• Do not use for more than 8 hours in any 24 hour period.
• Do not exert excessive pressure on the worn product.

Discontinue use and consult a physician if you notice discomfort, irritation, burning, swelling, redness or any other persistent change in the skin in the area where the product was worn, or if the pain increases or remains unchanged after 7 days.
