Absolute contraindications

Infectious dermatitis, dermo-hypodermatitis in the acute phase, dermatosis with active ulcers or sores. Relative contraindications

Loss of sensation in the limbs (unless otherwise indicated by the doctor), intolerance to graduated compression stockings materials, advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. diabetes mellitus), chronic primary polyarthritis.
