COMPRESSION CLASSES

Strong 261: compression class 2 (23-32 mmHg)

Mild chronic venous insufficiency (IVC), thrombophlebitis (superficial venous thrombosis) with and without edema, after surgical or endovascular procedures (sclerosing treatment, endovascular laser, radiofrequency, ambulatory varicectomy, saphenous stripping), varicose veins in pregnancy, thrombosis and embolism prophylaxis. After healing of a venous ulcer (prophylaxis of relapse), post-traumatic edema (at the end of basic treatment).

Absolute contraindications

Infectious dermatitis, dermo-hypodermatitis in the acute phase, dermatosis with active ulcers or sores. Arteriopathies with pressure index (ABI or IW) ≤ 0.55 (unless otherwise indicated by the doctor), Severe neuropathies, Extrinsic compressions on venous vessels (Baker's cyst of the popliteal cavity, lymphadenopathy, etc.), Decompensated heart failure, Septic phlebitis, Ischemic thrombosis (Phlegmasia coerulea dolens and Phlegmasia alba). Rheumatic fibromyalgia or in general any form of intolerance to prolonged pressure on the skin surface.

Relative contraindications

Loss of sensation in the limbs (unless otherwise indicated by the doctor), intolerance to graduated compression stockings materials, advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. diabetes mellitus), chronic primary polyarthritis.
