TROCÀ® BASIC LABOREST® Gluten and Lactose Free Food Supplement

Trocà® Basic is a food supplement based on Folic Acid, Iodine and Selenium.

Indications

Trocà® Basic is useful for responding to the needs of women in particular during gestation and breastfeeding, or in the event of an increased need or reduced dietary intake of these nutrients.

Action

The supplementary intake of folic acid increases the state of maternal folate. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in the fetus. In women of childbearing age, the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplementary daily intake of 400 μg of folic acid for at least one month before and up to three months after conception.

How does Trocà® Basic work?

The Trocà® Basic supplement is effective thanks to the synergy of its components:

Quatrefolic® 5-MTHF (5-methyltetrahydrofolate) , chosen for the new Trocà® Basic formula, is a form of folic acid (a water-soluble vitamin of group B, contained in fruit, vegetables, legumes and cereals), which does not require the activation by the dihydrofolate reductase enzyme, thus resulting immediately available for cellular use, without metabolic transformation. Once taken, Folic Acid intervenes in the cell division process, contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. During pregnancy, the supplementary intake of folic acid increases the state of maternal folate. Low maternal folate status is a risk factor for developing neural tube defects in the fetus. In women of childbearing age, the beneficial effect is obtained with a supplementary daily intake of folic acid of 400 μg starting at least one month before and up to three months after conception;
Iodine is an essential element in nutrition: it contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and to the physiological thyroid function, and is essential during pregnancy for the formation and development of various organs and systems. In particular, it contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system and to normal cognitive function;
Selenium , being an important cofactor of antioxidant enzymes, contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Furthermore, selenium is a powerful ally of our endocrine and immune system: it, in fact, contributes to normal thyroid function and the proper functioning of the immune system.

Method of use and dosage

Trocà® Basic is specifically formulated to meet the needs of women during the period of gestation and breastfeeding, in accordance with the reference nutritional values (NRV). In compliance with the recommended posology, therefore, it does not involve any risk of overdose or accumulation for the mother or fetus. We recommend taking 1 tablet a day, equal to 400 μg of Folic Acid, 220 μg of Iodine and 60 μg of Selenium.
Trocà® Basic can also be taken by people with intolerance or sensitivity to gluten and lactose.

Warnings and Contraindications

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Keep out of the reach of children under three years of age. Supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Store in a cool and dry place away from light and localized heat sources, from sunlight and avoid contact with water. The minimum conservation term refers to the product correctly stored, in an unopened package.
