CE 0051 class IIa medical device.
Infrared remote thermometer intended for measuring the body temperature of children and adults.
It is able to detect the temperature of children or adults without touching the skin: it is sufficient that it is brought close to the forehead up to a distance that the thermometer itself will indicate.
Trust detects infrared emissions naturally emitted by every body and in particular by the forehead of human beings. The forehead is the ideal place to take the temperature, as it is crossed by the temporal artery, which receives a considerable influx of blood through the aorta and the carotid artery. Furthermore, the forehead is the only part of the head not covered by hair in direct contact with the brain. The brain is the most important and delicate organ of our body, it is also the one that can suffer the greatest damage from too high a temperature. Finally, the head is the part of the body that first changes its temperature as the fever rises and darkens. For each measurement, the thermometer performs, every tenth of a second, a series of 125 readings, which are amplified and processed by its sophisticated microprocessor, together with the value of the ambient temperature, in order to show, through the projection, the correct body temperature.
Warnings
2.1 Precautions
1) Use the thermometer in an environment with a uniform, stable temperature between 16 and 40 ° C, and free from drafts.
2) If the thermometer comes from an environment with a different temperature from that of the environment in which you are working (from another room, from a drawer, etc.), the thermometer must stabilize. Before using it, perform the manual calibration (MQCS - par. # 6). Alternatively, wait at least 5 minutes, to allow the internal AQCS to finish, without touching the thermometer.
3) Wait a few minutes to allow the forehead temperature to stabilize in the following cases:
- if the subject comes from a ventilated room or with a different temperature than the one in which you are using the thermometer;
- if it is or has been exposed to drafts;
if in the minutes preceding the reading:
- did movement or exercise, walked or ran;
- has worn caps, hats or scarves;
- has been exposed to agents that may have altered the temperature of the forehead, such as showers, shampoos, hairdryers, sponging, etc.
4) If you change the measurement point on the forehead you will get different results. For this reason it is important to always aim the projection on the same point, exactly in the center of the forehead (halfway between the beginning of the nose and the hairline), keeping the thermometer perpendicular to the forehead. None Take measurements other than the center of the forehead.
5) The area of which the temperature is detected corresponds to the area covered by the temperature projection. Make sure that this area does not include eyebrows or hair, or clothing: move the hair away from the forehead, if necessary, a few minutes before the measurement, to avoid getting a higher temperature than real.
6) In the presence of oils and cosmetics and an oxygen mask, or in the case of elderly people, the detected temperature may be lower than the real body temperature.
7) The body temperature detected on the forehead can be affected by superficial injuries or head trauma.
8) Do not use the thermometer on a sweaty forehead, as the reading would not be reliable.
9) The dark disk on the front of the thermometer is the sensor window, and is the most delicate part of the thermometer. It must be kept clean and intact. Any damage to it, or the presence of dust or other dirt, would alter the result of the measurement.
10) Avoid handling the thermometer longer than strictly necessary before measurement.
11) Do not use the thermometer in contact with the ear or other parts of the body.
12) Do not use the thermometer in contact with objects or liquids, keep it away from water and heat sources and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight. Do not immerse it in water or other liquids. If liquid has entered the thermometer, contact the manufacturer immediately for assistance.
13) Do not use TRUST on a person who is initiating a phone call with a cellphone or cordless phone, or in the presence of strong electromagnetic fields.
14) Do not subject the thermometer to shocks and do not use it if it is damaged or does not work properly.
2.2 Attention
1) If the precautions in paragraph 2.1 are not observed, you could get very low or very high temperatures, which however would not be attributable to bad operation of the product. 2) The photo-biological safety of the aiming lights is guaranteed in compliance with the 62471 standard. Do not worry if the aiming lights are inadvertently directed into the eyes. 3) The appliance is a delicate measuring instrument and should not be used by small children or as a toy. Keep out of reach of children or people with reduced motor or sensory abilities. Small parts can be ingested or inhaled. 4) The use of this thermometer is not a substitute for consulting a doctor. Tell your doctor what type of thermometer you used and in which part of your body you measured the temperature. 5) If the baby's sudden movements make it difficult to take the measurement correctly, first familiarize yourself with the thermometer so that you can get close to the baby and take his temperature in a few moments. 6) If you have to measure the temperature yourself, you can use a mirror or the blank screen of a smartphone; or, if you have a child of at least six, try teaching him to use the thermometer. 7) Since trustworthy does not come into contact with the body, you do not need to use any “disposable” hygienic protection.

How to use
4.1 Body temperature measurement: on the forehead
- When using for the first time, insert 2 AAA batteries. - Approach TRUST to the forehead.
- Press the "smiley" button and keep it pressed: the aiming transparencies will turn on, and the "smiley" button light will turn on and you will begin to see the temperature value on the front, projected between two points or superimposed on them.
- Approach or move away TRUST perpendicularly to the center of the forehead until the temperature is positioned exactly between the two points (fig. 2): if the thermometer is too far or too close you will instead see the temperature partially superimposed on the two points (fig. 3 and 4) .
ò When you see the temperature value exactly in the middle of the two points (fig. 5), the thermometer is exactly at the distance for which it was calibrated: release the button, holding the thermometer still until the projection flashes, elect the value.
If necessary, another measurement can be carried out immediately. At the end of the measurement, the light of the button used will remain on and the projection of the temperature value will remain visible for about 12 seconds, during which, if necessary (for example in the case of self-measurement), you can point the thermometer at another surface to re-read the detected temperature. It is no longer necessary to respect the correct distance from the surface: in this case, the thermometer is no longer measuring but is only projecting the temperature value it has already detected. In the next 3 seconds the projection will show the current measurement setting after which the thermometer will turn off.
4.2 In case of perspiration: measurement on the eyelid
Sometimes the forehead may sweat, for example when the fever decreases, making the measured temperature too low. It is not enough to dry the forehead. In this case it is possible to take the temperature, always at a distance, by making a short scan on the closed eyelid (fig. 6). Do not worry if the child opens his eye during this measurement: the lights are harmless. Accuracy is not guaranteed but this measurement can be considered a valid approximation of body temperature. It is also indicated in adults when the frontal measurement is altered by the presence of oils or cosmetics or in the elderly.

9. Cleaning
Sensor Cleaning: The sensor is a very delicate area of the thermometer and must be kept clean. It is therefore recommended to store the thermometer in a clean and dry place, protected from dust. However, if you need to clean the sensor to remove any dust or other dirt, use a cotton swab lightly moistened with alcohol. Be sure to remove all dirt and avoid accumulating it on the sensor. Do not use other objects or liquids that could easily scratch or damage the surface of the lens or sensor. During this operation, make sure that any excess liquid does not enter between the thermometer and the sensor.
Cleaning the thermometer body: use a soft cloth slightly moistened with soap and water and, if necessary, wipe with a disinfectant.
Do not use the thermometer for at least 30 minutes after cleaning it.
