Indications:
sage has astringent properties and therefore useful in diarrhea, antiseptic and calming and therefore useful in gargling to fight sore throats, stomatitis, canker sores, etc. In China, Salvia officinalis is considered as a Yin tonic, reputed to be a good calming agent than a good stimulant of the nervous system. It regulates the menstrual cycle, even if its hormonal action is not yet well known, there is no doubt that the plant also regulates the transpiration. This property and the tonic and estrogenizing effects from sage make it an excellent remedy against menopausal disorders, hot and adaptation to the new hormonal situation, this is due to thujone. The hypoglycemic action of sage would be due to an active principle with a steroid structure. Thujone and cineole exert an antiseptic and stimulating action on the natural muscle.

Components:
the plant contains essential oil (thujone - about 50%, cineole), bitter diterpenes, flavonoids, phenolic acids, tannins and other substances.
