Chelidonium Majus MK Granules

Homeopathic medicine

Those who need the remedy have aggressive and despotic traits, they are more practical than intellectual. It is used, as in herbal medicine, for liver problems, such as enlarged liver and pain that extends to the back and right shoulder blade with yellowish color and gallstones with pain always on the right side. The pain is worse with fatty foods and there is sometimes a strong desire for hot drinks and cheese. Other symptoms present are: headache with a feeling of heaviness in the right side, neuralgia and facial numbness; the tongue is covered with a yellowish patina with imprint of the teeth; pain in the shoulders with a sensation of freezing in the fingertips with possible association with nausea and sweating; pneumonia with dyspnea and pain when coughing. Symptoms tend to be located on the right side of the body.
Symptoms improve with hot baths, with evacuation, with hot food and drink, with pressure on the affected area.
Symptoms worsen by lying on the right side, from 4 to 16, with movement, with fatty foods.
Chelidonium was experimented with by Hahnemann and included in the Pure Materia Medica (A. Lockie Encyclopedia of homeopathy).
The homeopathic remedy is prescribed by the homeopathic doctor after careful observation of the patient's mental and physical symptoms.

A BIT OF HISTORY and CURIOSITY

Dioscorides (40-90 AD), famous doctor, botanist and pharmacist who practiced in Rome at the time of Nero, called the plant from the Greek word chelidon = swallow, because celandine flourishes in the migratory period of the swallows.
The alchemists used celandine in the search for the philosopher's stone and gave it the name of coeli donum, gift from heaven. Paracelsus considered it a bloody herb, that is, suitable for treating circulatory disorders and a yellow herb for treating jaundice and other liver diseases.
Messeguè called it "swallow grass" observing a swallow with a drop of latex in its beak that carried it to the swallows to protect them from blindness.

CONTRAINDICATIONS.

Contraindicated in subjects with liver problems or stones, children and pregnant women. Celandine is a toxic plant for internal use. Internal intake requires medical advice.
