Description

The URGO Burns and superficial wounds sterile plaster is intended for the treatment of 1st and 2nd degree superficial burns as well as superficial wounds (excoriations, cuts).

Its gauze contains lipid-colloidal technology, an association of hydrocolloid particles and petroleum jelly. This formula relieves pain while promoting healing.

Instructions for Use

In the case of a superficial 2nd degree burn: first place the wound under cold water for 15 minutes, in order to limit the extent of the burn.

In all cases

• Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic.
• Rinse with water or physiological solution.
• In case of burns, never use colored antiseptics such as eosin.
• Allow to dry carefully using a sterile compress
• Where possible, do not touch the blister, which is a protection against infection. If it gets punctured, disinfect it. There is no need to remove dead skin if it does not peel off on its own.
• Remove the protective tabs.
• Apply to the area to be treated.
• The use of any creams is useless.
• The usual duration of the dressing varies from 5 to 6 days, with the first patch being renewed after 24 hours, and then every 48 hours.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of deep second degree burns, third degree burns or in case of face burns. In these cases, we recommend that you contact your doctor first.

Precautions for use:

Reserved for the treatment of localized wounds, the size of which does not exceed the size of a tablet. On extensive burns, it is desirable that the tablet overflows heavily to allow for absorption of exudates. If you see no improvement in healing after 6 days, contact your doctor. For burns in children, ask your pharmacist for advice. In the presence of clinical signs of local infection (redness extending over non-injured skin, pain, ...) contact your pharmacist or doctor. The URGO Burns and Superficial Wounds patch should be used immediately after opening the package; keep away from heat and humidity.

Warnings

Reuse of a single-use product may pose a risk of infection.
