In response to this problem, Urgo has developed the UrgoStart Heel range which is clinically proven to accelerate the wound healing process once the wound is clean and prepared for healing.

WAY OF ACTING

TLC (Technology Lipido-Colloid) combined with NOSF (Nano-Oligo Saccharide Factor) is an innovative patented technology that in contact with the wound exudate forms a gel and creates a moist environment that allows the key cells involved in the repair process ( fibroblasts, keratinocytes, macrophages) to exert their action.

TLC-NOSF interacts with the wound microenvironment of the wound preventing the damaging effect of matrix metal proteases (MMPs) which in excess in chronic wounds creates a continuous degradation of the extracellular matrix. TLC-NOSF restores balance in the wound bed so that granulation of chronic wounds can occur. UrgoStart Heel therefore promotes faster wound healing.
