UrgoClean

Description
Non-woven, absorbent and gelling dressing, made up of poly-absorbent polyacrylate fibers which guarantee a complete edebridement cleansing action (from slough, fibrin and exudate) and a TLC colloidal lipid matrix which ensures pain-free and atraumatic removal of the dressing for the injury.
Dressing composed entirely of poly-absorbent polyacrylate fibres, gelling detergents, and a micro-adherent TLC matrix (TLC: Lipido-Colloidal Technology, composed of carboxymethylcellulose particles, lipid substances). The acrylic core present in the polyacrylate fibers allows for one-piece removal of the dressing.
UrgoClean has the ability to cleanse and keep the wound clean.
The TLC matrix forms a gel when it comes into contact with the wound, creating a moist environment conducive to healing.
At the same time, in contact with the exudate the poly-absorbent fibers gel, absorb the exudate and bind to the fibrin and the slough through an electrostatic interaction, facilitating their removal. UrgoClean absorbs fluids without maceration, protecting the periwound skin.
Furthermore, the poly-absorbent fibers make the dressing highly cohesive, which together with the TLC matrix allow removal of the dressing without pain, in one piece, and atraumatic for the wound1. Its composition gives the dressing haemostatic properties.
Indicated for the desloughing phase of chronic exuding lesions, acute lesions and cancerous lesions.

Instructions for use
UrgoClean dressing
Cleanse the lesion using conventional care protocol, then rinse with normal saline solution.
If an antiseptic is used first, rinse the wound carefully with saline before applying UrgoClean.
The use of UrgoClean does not ignore the need for mechanical debridement, when required.
Remove the protective tabs.
Apply the micro-adherent side of UrgoClean in contact with the lesion and its irregular angles.
UrgoClean can be cut using sterile scissors to adapt the size of the dressing to the wound if necessary.
Cover UrgoClean with a secondary dressing appropriate to the position and exudate of the wound. If prescribed, apply compression therapy.
UrgoClean can be changed every 1-2 days during the desloughing phase and subsequently when necessary up to 7 days depending on the volume of exudate and the clinical condition of the lesion.
UrgoClean tape dressing
Cleanse the lesion using conventional care protocol, then rinse with normal saline solution.
If an antiseptic is used first, rinse the wound carefully with saline solution before applying UrgoClean tape.
The use of the UrgoClean tape dressing does not omit the need for mechanical debridement, when required.
Open the package.
If necessary, use the probe to evaluate the depth of the lesion.
Minimize the use of the probe in the wound and do not leave it in the wound.
The UrgoClean tape dressing can be cut using sterile scissors to adapt the length of the dressing to the depth of the wound. In the case of a poorly exuding wound, it may be necessary to moisten the dressing with saline solution.
Check that the UrgoClean tape dressing is visible and easy to remove from the cavity.
Cover the UrgoClean tape dressing with a secondary dressing suited to the location and exudate of the wound.
UrgoClean tape can be changed every 1-2 days
