URINE BOTTLE STRIPS
Instructions for use
Collect fresh urine in a clean, dry container. Use centrifuged urine and mix the sample before performing the test. The sample must not be older than 2 hours from the time of testing. Always handle specimens under appropriate sanitary conditions.
Visual reading technique:
1. Immerse all reagent areas in the sample and immediately remove the strip.
2. Rub the edge of the strip against the edge of the container to remove excess urine.
3. Hold the strip horizontally and compare the test areas next to the color graph on the bottle label. Record the results. For a semi-quantitative result, read the reagent areas at the time, as specified on the color graph. The pH and Protein areas can also be read immediately or at any time, up to 60 seconds after the dive. For a qualitative result, read the reagent area between 1 and 2 minutes. If a positive result is obtained, repeat the test, reading each reagent at the time specified on the color chart. Color changes after 2 minutes have no diagnostic value.
Warnings
Store only in the original bottle. Do not use after the expiry date. Each strip can only be used once. Do not remove desiccants. Do not remove the strip from the bottle until just before testing. Immediately replace the cap and tighten after removing the reagent strip. Store at temperatures between 2°C and 30°C. Do not store in the refrigerator. Keep away from direct sunlight.
Do not touch the test areas of the test strips. Protection against ambient humidity, light and heat is essential to protect against alterations in reagent activity. Deterioration may cause discoloration or darkening of reagent areas. If this is evident or if the test results are questionable or different from what was expected, check that the strips have not expired and compare with the control urine. To dispose of the strips, follow the "Regulations on the treatment of biohazardous laboratory materials". Once the container is opened, the remaining strips are stable for up to 3 months in humidity conditions below 65% RH.
storage
Post-opening validity: 24 months.
