This product is an adjuvant in recurrent cystitis due to Escherichia Coli Fimh1 responsible for 85-90% of recurrent cystitis!

Recurrent cystitis means continuous presence of the isolated microorganism at the beginning of the treatment. At least 2 infections over 6 months, or 3 or more episodes during the year, during which the initial episode resolves but is followed by another infection

A very common problem About 36% of sexually active young women have a relapse. In postmenopausal women it reaches 53%.

TABLETS STABILIZED IN ALPHA D-MANNOSE, ENHANCED WITH ECHINACEA

The choice of tablets is considered essential to stabilize more the active alpha D-Mannose form, the only one able to bind and block the adhesin FimH1, compared to the inactive beta D-Mannose.
The dosage of 425mg of D-Mannose per tablet has been evaluated with careful quantity / benefit criteria, in fact we know that D-Mannose acts in a purely mechanical way, consequently to increase its therapeutic efficacy, it is necessary to act by increasing the frequency of administration more that the quantity per single intake.
The addition of echinacea was useful for enhancing the immune response, thus obtaining greater efficacy in the active phase and greater stability of results once the therapy was terminated.

Urogyn D mechanism of action

Once ingested, D-Mannose is absorbed in the upper intestine and, after about 60 minutes, arrives unaltered in the urinary tract.
Escherichia Coli, through lectins (FimH1 fimbriae) attaches to D-Mannose
D-Mannose avoids the adhesion of Escherichia Coli to the bladder mucosa
D-Mannose and Escherichia Coli are excreted in the urine
