Uva ursina (Arctostaphylos uva ursi), also known as sea grape, is a plant of the Ericaceae family that grows in northern Europe, Asia and North America.
Its leaves are rich in hydroquinone , an active ingredient with antimicrobial action useful against various bacterial strains often responsible for urogenital tract infections such as Escherichia Coli or Streptococcus.
