Ag 2019-nCoV Kit
(Immunochromatography)
Description
Kit used for the in vitro qualitative detection of 2019-nCoV antigen.
It is a dual antibody immunochromatographic assay and is intended to detect 2019-nCoVantigen of the N-protein in human nasal swab (NS) samples.
This kit can be used for individuals with or without symptoms or other epidemiological reasons suspected of being infected with COVID-19. A positive result indicates 2019-nCoV infection, quarantine and contact a doctor. A PCR (polymerase chain reaction) confirmatory test is required.
A negative result should be considered presumptive. It does not rule out that you are infected with 2019-nCoV. Negative results should be considered in the context of the patient's recent exposures, medical history, and the presence of clinical signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Confirm with a PCR test if necessary.
For in vitro use only. Suitable for self-test use.
How to use
Collection of samples
1. Insert the absorbent plug of the swab (2-3 cm) into the left nostril and slide firmly against the inside of the nostril more than 5 times in a circular motion. Take out the swab.
2. Insert the swab into the right nostril and firmly stroke the inside of the anarch more than 5 times in a circular motion. Take out the swab.
Processing of samples
1. Open the cap of the tube.
2. Immerse the swab cap with sample in the swab tube and rotate the swab cap at least 10 times in the swab, applying pressure with the finger.
3. Remove the swab by squeezing the sides of the tube to extract the liquid with the sample from the swab.
4. Screw the cap tightly onto the tube.
5. Snap off the cap of the cap, the sample solution in the test tube is ready for testing.
Sample testing
Place the buffer cassette flat on the table.
1. Add 3 drops to the sample well and start the timer.
2. When the test starts working, you will see the color move across the result window in the center of the buffer cassette.
3. Read the result after 15 minutes. Do not read the result after more than 20 minutes.
Interpretation of results
Positive result
If both C and T lines are visible after 15 minutes, the test result is positive and valid.
- Note that it is currently suspected of being infected with COVID-19. -Contact a doctor or local health office immediately. No medical decisions should be made before contacting a doctor.
- Observe local guidelines on self-isolation.
- Do a PCR test for confirmation.
Negative result
In case a colored line is visible in the control area and no colored line in the test area, the result is negative and valid.
- Continue to comply with all applicable local regulations and protective measures.
- Be aware that even if the test result is negative, an infection could occur.
- If suspected, repeat the test after 1-2 days, as 2019-nCoV may not be precisely detected at all stages of an infection.
- Do a PCR test for confirmation if necessary.
Invalid result
The test result is invalid if a colored line is not formed in the control area. The sample should be re-tested, using a new test card.
- It can be caused by wrong operation.
- Repeat a test, using a new buffer cassette.
- If the test result is still invalid, contact the distributor or the store where you purchased the product.
