Varimed Antithrombo stockings are useful for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis. They are built with monoelastic wefts with short elongation only in the horizontal direction (circumferences). This allows to keep the sock positioned correctly and to respect the compression values for the entire length of the limb. Varimed Antithrombo stockings express graduated compression according to the Siegel profile (18 mmHg at the ankle, 14 mmHg at the calf, 8 mmHg at the knee, 10mmHg above the knee and 8 mmHg at the thigh) thus increasing the average blood flow in the femoral veins at 138 , 4%, without obstructing arterial flow in hospitalized and bedridden patients. They are breathable and made with biocompatible, hypoallergenic and non-toxic materials. Varimed Antitrombo socks have an inspection hole which is located near the tip of the foot and which is used for a quick toe check; the heel is molded thus improving the stability of the sock. INDICATIONS

Prevention of venous stasis, prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis and embolisms. They are worn before, during and after surgery; before, during and after childbirth; however in all cases of prolonged bed rest.
