Vet Life Oxalates

Complete dietetic food intended for adult dogs for the reduction of urate, oxalate and cystine-based stones. It is also indicated in subjects suffering from advanced stage renal pathologies.
Contains low concentrations of calcium, vitamin D3, to reduce the formation of urate base oxalates. The low concentrations of proteins and sulfur amino acids reduce the formation of cystine and urate crystals. The alkaline urinary pH made such by the action of potassium citrate raises the saturation point of the crystals. Low concentrations of copper avoid the toxic action of this element, which tends to accumulate in the liver.

Ingredients
Rice; oats; animal fat; dehydrated whole eggs; flax seed; hydrolysed animal proteins; dried beet pulp; fish oil; calcium carbonate; vegetable oil; sodium chloride; antioxidants; microcrystalline cellulose.
Protein sources: dehydrated whole eggs.
Urine alkalizing additives: potassium citrate (9 g/kg).
Total Vitamin D 650 IU.

How to use
Recommended period of use: for the reduction of the formation of stones based on diurns up to 6 months, but for life in cases of irreversible disorders of the uric acid metabolism, for the reduction of the formation of stones based on oxalates up to 6 months , for the reduction of cystine-based stones initially up to 1 year; for lifelong chronic renal insufficiency (2-4 weeks in case of temporary renal insufficiency).
Daily amounts may vary due to breed, environment, exercise, temperament, and level of disease severity.
