ROYAL CANIN URINARY S / O products represent the ideal answer for the correct management of lower urinary tract diseases and urinary tract stones. Suitable for:

dissolution of stones and struvite crystals
bacterial inflammation of the bladder
prophylaxis of calcium oxalate stones
prophylaxis of struvite stones

Warning: A medical check of renal function is recommended for elderly dogs prior to administration of Urinary S / O.

Contraindicated in case of:

chronic renal failure, metabolic acidosis
heart failure
hyperlipidemia
pancreatitis
parallel treatment with urine acidifying drugs
pregnant or lactating females - puppies

Product specific features:

Struvite stone dissolving: URINARY S / O composition effectively dissolves struvite stones.
Greater urinary volume: the composition of the product increases the urinary volume. Thus it also counteracts the formation of struvite and / or calcium oxalate stones.
Low RSS Level: Undersaturated urine is an environment in which crystals cannot develop. This makes urine unfavorable for the development of struvite and calcium oxalate stones.
Reduced magnesium content: Magnesium is a key component of struvite stones (ammoniacal magnesium sulfate).

Duration of treatment:

5 to 12 weeks, and / or until the urinary tract stones dissolve. In case of urinary tract infections the diet should be continued for at least 1 month after the first negative control.

Further information:

it must be ensured that only URINARY S / O is administered during the illness. Otherwise the effectiveness of the product is reduced.
