Supplied in dropper bottles for quick and easy use, Liquid Vitamin D offers 400IU / 0.5ml. This is a vegan source of D3 and delicately flavored with natural orange essential oil giving a pleasant taste.

Vitamin D is an essential nutrient that contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system and blood calcium levels which in turn supports the maintenance of normal bones and teeth. As fear of sun exposure grew and lifestyles became more sedentary, sun exposure dropped dramatically and vitamin D deficiency and the incidence of rickets went up.

The skin cannot create vitamin D if covered in sunscreen or clothing, it has been thought that a sunscreen with SPF15 will reduce the skin's ability to synthesize vitamin D by more than 95%. Many seniors and those in communities who tend to wear more modest clothing are among the population most likely to suffer from deficiency in dietary sources of vitamin D. Groups include fortified foods, eggs and oily fish.

The government recommends that people who are dependent or cover their skin for long periods, all pregnant and breastfeeding, people over 65 years of age and infants 6 months to 5 years old should take vitamin D supplements.

Directions:
