Visco-Vision Gel Omnivision Eye Solution

Hypotonic and viscous wetting eye gel with 0.2% Carbomer 980. Visco-Vision Gel exhibits excellent mucoadhesive properties. Thanks to its humectant effect, it acts uniformly on the surface of the cornea and conjunctiva ensuring a beneficial and prolonged hydration of the eye.

It can be used for the following indications

• Dry eyes caused by Sjögren's syndrome
• Mechanical stress, e.g. following eye diagnostics;
• Environmental stress, due to eg. to air-conditioned rooms, wind, cold, dry air or air containing harmful substances, for example cigarette smoke;
• Tiredness and visual stress due to intense use of vision, eg. for computer, microscope or long periods of driving.

How to use

Before using Visco-Vision Gel, wash your hands thoroughly. To open the tube, turn the screw cap counterclockwise until the safety lock breaks. After opening the tube for the first time, remove the safety ring.
Step 1: Slightly tilt your head back (nape position) and with your free hand slightly lower the lower eyelid.
Step 2: Hold the tube vertically, with the opening downwards, above the eye. Press lightly on the tube until a small drop forms on the tip. Apply the drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye, avoiding touching the eye with the tip of the tube.
Step 3: Close your eyes two or three times, so that the gel is evenly distributed over the surface of the eye. After use, close the tube with the protective cap, being careful not to touch anything with the tip (not even your finger). Avoid squeezing or rolling the tube, so as not to damage it.
Apply Visco-Vision Gel as needed or as directed by the ophthalmologist. In general, for adults and children it is recommended to apply 1 drop 3-4 times a day. Visco-Vision® Gel is suitable for prolonged use. However, as with all other diseases, if the problems persist, it is advisable to consult an ophthalmologist. In case of a further local eye treatment, it is necessary to wait about 30 minutes between the two applications. Visco-Vision Gel should be applied after the other products.

Components

Carbomer 980 (0.2%), sorbitol, sodium hydroxide, disodium ededate, cetrimide (0.01%) and purified water.

Warnings

• Do not use the product if the tube or safety lock is damaged.
• Do not touch the eye with the tip of the tube to avoid infection or injury to the eye.
• The tip of the tube must not come into contact with other objects or parts of the body, in order to avoid bacterial contamination of the gel.
• Before use, remove contact lenses and reapply them only after waiting at least 30 minutes.
• Do not use Visco-Vision Gel after the expiry date, which is indicated on the fold of the tube and on the packaging.
• For reasons of hygiene, the same tube of Visco-Vision Gel should not be used by multiple patients.
• If eye problems persist while using Visco-Vision® Gel or recur after discontinuation, consult your ophthalmologist.
• Visco-Vision Gel is not suitable as the sole treatment for an eye infection. If you suspect an eye infection, see your eye doctor.
• Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity (allergy) to one of the components.
• Suitable for use in children and adults aged 18 and over.
• No clinical data are available for pregnant or lactating women and children and adolescents under 18 years. These patient groups should consult their treating physician before using Visco-Vision Gel.
• Store Visco-Vision Gel out of the reach of children.
• For external use only.

Side effects

After use, a worsening of visual acuity (blurred vision) may transiently occur. In this case, avoid driving vehicles and operating machinery. It is recommended to wait until normal visual acuity is restored.
Symptoms such as a slight and temporary stinging of the eyes or sticky eyelids may occur immediately after application.
